How to be Saved

The Romans Road to Salvation

Using the book of Romans “The Roman Road to Salvation” explains the good news that Jesus Christ saves!  Why do we need salvation? How has God provided salvation? How do we receive salvation? And what are the results of salvation?

Romans 3:23 KJV “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” we have violated the commandments of the Lord. This means that no one can live up to the standard that God has established which is sinless perfection. Romans 6:23 KJV “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”         

Romans 5:8 KJV “But God Commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” He did this because he loves you and me. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

Romans 10:9 KJV “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved.  Romans 10:13 KJV “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Sin has a penalty and that penalty is death. Jesus paid the penalty for us.

Romans 8:1 KJV “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

Romans 8:38-39 KJV “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

You know the How and the Why. Now, what must you do to receive Christ as your Savior?

• First, you must admit that you are a sinner and need to be saved.
• Second, you must repent and be willing to turn from your sin.
• Third, you must believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross.
• Fourth, you must receive through prayer, Jesus Christ into your heart and life.

Pray this Prayer and Believe with All Your heart…….

Dear God in Heaven, I come to you today as a Lost Sinner. I am asking you that you save my soul; cleanse me from all sin. I realize in my heart my need of Salvation, which can only come through Jesus Christ. I am excepting Christ into my heart and what he did on the cross in order to purchase my redemption. In obedience to your word, I confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in my heart that God Has raised Him from the dead.  You said in your Word which cannot lie, for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13).  I have called upon Your name exactly as you have said, and I believe that right now, I AM Saved!

If you have sincerely prayed the Words written out for you and believed in your heart Jesus is Lord,

you are at this very moment Saved; your name is now written down in the Lamb’s Book of Life!
