Pastor Carlos Wright

Pastor Carlos D. Wright was born in Atlanta, Georgia, October 9, 1968. He is the only child of Zebedee and Cora Wright. He accepted his Lord and Savior at an early age, but started immersing and learning the bible under Dr. Patrick L. Wooden Sr, where he was ordained. After years of preaching, God started dealing with him mightily about being a Shepherd. Pastor Wright accepted his calling in 2011 and realized that he was born to love and take care of God’s people.

Career

On February 2, 1987, he enlisted in the United States Army completing Basic Training at Fort Knox in Kentucky, further completing Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Ben Harrison in Indiana; graduating as a 75C Management Specialist.

As a G-1 Sergeant Major, his assignments included but were not limited to; traveling to all areas to support the Best of the Best in Special Forces. A graduate of the United States Army Sergeant Major Academy, his military education is varied from Airborne School to Primary through Advanced Noncommissioned Officers courses.

During his more than two decades of service to our country, Pastor Wright is still on the wall
defending and serving this great country. Pastor Wright has served in virtually every leadership position from
Squad Leader to Plans/Operations Sergeant Major.

Accepting the Call  

Pastor Wright is called and appointed by God with a heavy Prophetic Anointing.  One night while stationed in Germany, Pastor Wright had a vision of himself at a gate freeing sheep.  At first, he paid no attention to the vision until he asked God for the interpretation. God replied, “This is what I have called you to do, free my people from being dictated to and help put families back together.” It was then he realized, God put families together as the first ministry and preaching for 15 years he understood the “business of ministry.” Attending multiple ministries, and studying Christianity all over again, while accepting the isolation God imposed. This was a pruning season where God allowed adversity to be his friend, shaping and giving him a love for all people regardless of their background. He discovered you cannot say you love people and be a respecter of persons. “God is no respecter of Persons…!”(Acts 10:34-35) We are to love all people, it should not matter who they are.  A Shepherd will protect the sheep at all cost!

Leaving Germany with the revelation that Christianity is bigger than one denomination, he began Pastoring in the Raleigh/Fuquay Varina area where souls are being saved. His future plans are to keep winning souls and defend the faith by empowering people to be Kingdom minded. We the Christian, Win!

Civilian Education

Pastor Wright is a Graduate of Excelsior University with a Bachelors in Liberal Arts and a graduate of a course in Homeland Security.
